Buffalo Groupe buys Sports Marketing Surveys USA – Golf Business News

Buffalo Groupe has expanded its research capabilities with the acquisition of Sports Marketing Surveys USA, the industry leader in sports research.
Sports Marketing Surveys USA will continue to be operate under that name with its headquarters remaining in Jupiter, Florida. SMS USA will also continue to collaborate closely with Sporting Insights, the new identity of Sports Marketing Surveys Inc, which is headquartered in the UK, to offer global insights.
Together with Longitudes Group, which joined Buffalo in January 2021, Sports Marketing Surveys USA, along with its ActionWatch subsidiary, will merge complementary capabilities offering clients a full range of research, analysis and insights into the purchase journey and behaviours of consumers in outdoor sports, including golf, tennis, running, surfing and skateboarding.

Sports Marketing Surveys USA and ActionWatch provide a full range of quantitative and qualitative approaches, offering comprehensive analysis in more than 100 sports. With planned investments in technology combined with Buffalo’s world class marketing capabilities, current and future clients will be supported in all aspects of the demand creation process including segments, personas, targeting, campaign creation, measurement and predictive modeling.

The Grove has announced a host of investments in its award-winning golf experience ahead of its 20th anniversary celebrations next year. 
Branston Golf & Country Club in Nottinghamshire has opened a new health club, featuring a 17m swimming pool, 2,000sq ft gym and a creche, as part as the latest investments in the Burton-based club’s facilities.
Thriston Lawrence has become the first South African to be crowned Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year, after a breakthrough season on the DP World Tour that included two wins, six further top-10s and a Major debut.
